So… What’s Next?

After yesterday’s events I more then ever understand why people leave this field of paranormal.  Lies, backstabbing, look at me shouts. Its a shame, a damn shame. The good (and hell bad) investigators spend  time, money, energy, hours away from loved ones to help – just to try to help people.  Some of us don’t even help ourselves, just others….

I’m actually having trouble writing this because how much do I want to say? I’m upfront person, usually and brutally direct. My anger is stirred and my trust betrayed.  I could use my power here on the web to bash former members, but i’m above it.  So….. What’s next?

I’ll tell you what’s next!  We are heading out this afternoon to do a private home interview and check in with the family see what we can do not only document paranormal activity if its shows, but to help them through it – whether its a para or another issue in the home. I’m in this field to help people and continue to see what comes next, not to be in center ring dancing on some pole yelling look at me or be a  celebrity.

We are the Midnight Watchmen and we are here to help… you! Not ourselves…

Peace,
Cedric

Update: 1-18-2013

We have learned today that Jon Williams has cancelled ParaUnity Con 2013, here is the email sent out to groups:

I have thought long and hard, and I can not think of any reason to stay in the field of Ghost Hunting. After 15 years of being in this venture, its time to hang up my meters, and equipment and press on. The field has turned into a cut throat, political, greed driven industry that I am sick of being involved with. I am through with it all. I am cancelling the ParaUnity Con, because that was supposed to be a fun unwind, but with the popping up of other “HUGE” Conferences surrounding that date, paid conferences that people are actually paying for to see their favorite para-celebs, im sick of this. Im not going to pay $3,000 of my own money to do something that I would have to do everything with. Its horrible to think this way, but, we have to live and learn and do whats right in this lifetime. So since I closed down the museum, and closed out a number of other pages on facebook, Good night all..Happy Snow Day..

Jonathan Williams

We are saddened to hear this event was cancelled as a lot of friends in the paranormal community were going to be there. We looked forward to another trip to Gettysburg and see old friends.  We understand his decision and hope that he returns to the field some time soon with a renewed energy.

I’d also like to acknowledge that Johanna Colvin Gamble/Spiritgirl & Jon Bolton/John Cannon are no longer with the Midnight Watchmen.  As we move forward to more exciting things in the new year here, i’d like to thank those of the team who are still here and along for the ride we are on.  Fame isn’t the goal, its knowledge…. And boy have we learned!

Peace,
Cedric

My Thoughts on 2013 Gettysburg Trip

I always say every trip to Gettysburg is different, this year proved to be no exception! We returned to Jennie Wade House Museum on Friday & Soldier’s Museum/Orphanage on Saturday – along with a new place The Hall of Presidents to finish our adventure on Sunday.

We tried out a ghost meter pro in mode 4. Yielded some interesting surface results as of writing this we are in process of checking with the manufacturer about what we saw which was an apparent morris code like flashes. In the 2 prior nights ghost pro meter never displayed activity like that! While at jennie Wade we also using a laser pointer created the appoxmant trajectory and angle of the fatal shot to ms. Wade. A first for us a little CSI action.

We had a great time in Gettysburg despite the weather…. which reminded me of our 2007 & 2009 trips….. both of which shaped our futures as a team. After the review and some deeper research will help us settle what we have from those three cases, but the energy felt right to me….

Peace,
Cedric

State of the Watchmen – 2012

2012 – Where do I begin? We had many highs and lows as a team. We still working on releasing our DVD’s of case files, which we hoped to have out earlier in the year, was derailed by some issues on my end.  Case wise may have been quiet but as we moved forward on some events and client help it was worth it.   We attend the para-xpo in NJ and as well welcomed old friends back into the fold, we’ve added a new members Trevor Gibson  who will work on tech & Johanna to help with research!  The Tylersport Haunted Hayride was a blast! Great event to network with the community!

So now that we all have survived 2012, I ask myself whats next?  We’ve met some amazing teams, people, been at some amazing events/places & had some interesting cases. We still are hard at work on making some public events/hunts as well as trying to just get our foot in the doors at some places.  I’m very calm and collected when I proclaim 2013 will be the best year ever for the Watchmen, I have no doubts about that at all!

We’ve also been busy laying the ground work for Paranormal Journeys Expo which is presented by Midnight Watchmen & www.paranormaldictionary.com, which will take place on September 21st & 22nd 10am to 6pm next year 2013!  Returning to Delaware Valley College was a fun experience, students and staff always keep us on our toes. We also have a few  Open Positions available, Video person (2), Photographer, Researcher (2), and a marketing person to help with logo designs/other marketed related things.

As was said last year and again in closing I’d like to thank my team from our current members to the ones who are no longer with us, as all of you have had an influence on what the Midnight Watchmen have become and will be tomorrow.  Their are not words for me to express my joy and happiness in doing what we do, for me it was a dream since I was child to be a “ghostbuster”, this the next best thing to that, only thing we’re missing is an Ecto-1, but if that’s all we’re missing that ain’t too bad….

Peace,
Cedric
