Paranormal Q&A with Midnight Watchmen Founder Cedric

Who are you?

I am the Founder and lead Investigator of the Midnight Watchmen, a Bucks County Paranormal Investigation group.  We believe in helping people understand and cope with paranormal phenomena.

Explain your Methodology?

I use common sense approach to investigations of paranormal claims. I tend to focus on the science end of claims to have definitive proof, but there is no substitution for gut instinct either.

Favorite Haunts?

I’ve been to a lot of historic and interesting places, my two favorites would have to be Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia and the Soldier’s Museum/Orphanage in Gettysburg, PA.

Personal Experiences

Had what appeared to be a bottle cap moved/thrown/flicked in front of me at the Black Bass Hotel in Lambertville, PA.  And while on vacation in Gettysburg watched the porch gate close by itself at the Jennie Wade House & Museum, it’s weighted to stay open or shut!

Why did you get into paranormal?

Always had an interest in the unknown, but when you see things as a child you can’t explain it fuels your fire to ask what was that?

What’s Next?

We are working on our own web TV show & a fundraiser for the group/local charities.

Dream Case/Investigation?

Be interesting to see what a Stonehenge Investigation would yield, mostly because to best of my knowledge its never been done.

Do you think that paranormal shows give groups a bad reputation?

I think at times, every show has had the moment where I’m watching it and I say “WTF why did u do that and not…. ” At this point I don’t not believe there is a show on that gets the balance between reality TV and actual investigation right.

Name some Random Facts about you?

I’m the web designer for www.midnightwatchmen.com & a writer. Big Kevin Smith Fan & of Stargate.

Are you a skeptic or a believer?

Both. I believe in paranormal things, but at the same time I want to have the proof in hand to show people – Hard Evidence.

Paranormal Q&A with Brandy Williams

Brandy Williams

Who are you?

Brandy Williams: The International Museum of Spiritual Investigations (ISMI) is non-profit organization that aims to educate, preserve, and facilitate spiritual investigations history, methodology, and evidence and present this to the public in a positive, supportive and non-judgmental manner.

Explain Your Methodology?

BW: We offer a knowledgeable staff, engaging exhibits, educational classes and introductory investigations. Through these offerings, the IMSI enhances the knowledge of the individual, the investigative skills of the community and economic vitality of our region.

Favorite Haunts?

BW: Various historic Inns in and around Gettysburg, most were here at the time of the Civil War and used as hospitals. They always make for an interesting investigation.

Personal Experiences?

BW: Where do we even begin? LOL. I myself (Brandy) have had my hair played with, been touched, had my name called and even had my butt grabbed, just to name a few.

Why was the group formed?

BW: Groups come and go all the time and then what happens to the evidence? We are here to preserve this evidence and to educate the public about what we do and even that life does continue after death.

What’s Next?

BW: What isn’t next? Onward and upward!

Strongest Evidence?

BW: During an investigation we worked with a trusted psychic medium who was crossing people over in one room. I was in another room down the hall and saw a shadow at that moment scoot along the wall, our laser grid lost battery life and our video camera went out of focus. Meanwhile the basement team who had no idea what was going on lost battery power in their cameras and flashlights and our data logger recorded strong spikes of energy all at the same time. We also did an investigation in which we did a flashlight test and told the spirit to turn on the flash light which he did! View the video here:

What is the most asked question by people?

BW: What is this place?

Dream Case/Investigation?

BW: We would love to go overseas and investigate the castles of Europe.

Do you think the paranormal shows give groups like yours a bad reputation?

BW: I don’t think paranormal shows give us a bad reputation. Only we can be responsible for giving us a bad reputation. I get many people who come in and ask if the shows are accurate. While we may not always agree with what is televised it does open the door for investigations and education.

Tell us a strange but true fact about your group?

BW: We are the only investigation group that is attached to a museum.

E.S.P. Testing

For those of you who may be unaware we here at Midnight Watchmen have started an E.S.P. Test Study.  Our goal is to see for ourselves if Extra Sensory Perception (E.S.P.) is real or just dumb luck.  We plan on starting small and want 100 people to take the test.  The test consists of a 57 Bicycle ESP Test Deck that will be shuffled between each run of 25 cards to keep the next card(s) random. All 4 runs  will total 100 cards guessed and will be done in one day with no time limit on how long each run will take with a 5 minute break between the runs.

If interested in joining this study email: [email protected]

I personally believe that with many things paranormal until you’ve witnessed and have seen it for yourself it is hard to believe. We do not assume or believe anything until we can prove it. This is a challenge that is both delightful and at times quite distressing, but it helps teach us about the world around us more than just assuming/being told what there is. In closing is a quote that I think fits our mindset perfectly: “I think that it is very good for people to talk about their paranormal experiences and share stories about things that they cannot explain.” – Rosemary Ellen Guiley.

Cedric

Looking Ahead to 2011 & Beyond

Looking back on 2010, it has been a year full of changes with not just group members, but also with philosophies here at Midnight Watchmen.  My vision has always been to seek truth and knowledge. We have started down this path with a scientific “prove it to me” attitude. We’ve since included more metaphysical ideas to balance out the things that we do.  There has been very interesting results with pendulums, franks box, ovilus, etc. and honestly, until we can prove that these objects work it is considered just a coincidence.  We will have to continue to use these tools to prove the validity and accuracy of them. The same concept of truth finding applies for investigating histories, gut instincts, and searching for hard evidence (E.V.P.’s & Pictures & Video).

Moving forward has come with some things that excited and saddened us.  We’ve lost members to the increasing demands of the group. We have had TV exposure fall through and I won’t go into details here. But have no fear my friends! We will have a web show soon, as we are working on the early episodes as I type this. One of our strongest skills is making things work out the best way possible for our clients and us.  I have a great dedicated team that listens, learns and more importantly respects the people/places we go.  Also in 2011, we will have our first fundraiser in the local community planned. Details on this will be coming in the next few months.  This is what separates us from a lot of the other groups, the time and dedication that we devote to investigating as well as going beyond the paranormal… That is why I am stoked to see what the New Year brings, as every year we up the ante.

In closing I’d like to thank all of you who have supported and helped us. Without any of you we would not be where we are today or will be tomorrow.

Peace,
Cedric
