Chain Letters/E-Mails/Texts… If You Don’t Read This 5 Times A Ghost Will Annoy You.

How many times have you received a text message, letter (back in the day when snail mail was still popular), or e-mail stating that if you did not send it to at least five people you would have bad luck? This is simply know as a chain letter,  and believe it or not they have been around since at least the 1930s from what I can research. The chain letter given credit for being the first was from Colorado and it was called the “Send-a-dime” letter.

And keep in mind that this just isn’t in the US that chain letter exist, but they seem to pop up all over the world. The letter just takes on the culture of the country in which it originates such as Africa seems to mainly take on a religious connotation for their chain letters while the US seems to focus on money and supernatural things that may happen.

I know many a friend and family member, who have and still do buy into this junk. That is exactly what it is…junk. There is no scientific principle that can show that if a person does not send a chain letter on it will result in misfortune.

The picture shown below is one that was associated with a chain letter originating out of Texas. It was reported to be an actual photo of a ghost under the bed of a person who killed someone by accident because they didn’t send on the chain letter. Really??? Now what and why would you even joke about something like this, plus the act that some people thought this picture was real even confuses me more.

To me it seems like such a blatant posed/set-up photo and I will be any amount of money that it was in fact that.

I guess when it comes down to it, it really matter about what you believe in. If you think sending the letter out fives, or brining a troll doll to a bingo hall or wearing a special pair of socks for the big game will bring you luck then go for it. However I would suggest against sending such letters as the one above to people. If you send it because you think you will die or incur the death of other people because you don’t send it then I suggest you et some help. You will not die or be punished by God for not forwarding on a bad letter, heck I’m willing to bet God will thank you for stopping it before it goes any further. The choice is yours, just make the right one.

Be safe and read this five times or you’ll grow horns,

Cloudbusters…I Ain’t Afraid of No Cloud.

Cloudbusters, sort of reminds of Ghostbusters on less cool in my eyes because the Ghostbusters have Ecto-1, you cannot mess with that car. Plus the Ghostbusters had such awesome equipment with their proton packs and meters and ghost traps such awesomeness. What type of equipment does a Cloudbuster have, a really big pin to pop them? I mean how many times have you been walking down the street or in the park and those pesky clouds just wont get out of your way or try and steal your wallet? Never? Really? Well I’m not shocked because I never had that happen to me either, in fact the only time clouds are a pain is when you’re flying and they create turbulence, man I hate flying.

Cloudbusting, as odd as it sounds, was in fact a device invented by an Austrian psychoanalyst by the name of Wilhelm Reich. Why did he create such a device? Well simple, it was created so that it could drain the clouds of their orgone energy. Orgone energy is a universal life force, this energy controls everything in the universe and those deficient in orgone could develop such disease as cancer. And do you know who thought and came up with this? Why it was Wilhelm Reich the creator of the Cloudbuster, see how it all ties together and makes sense. I didn’t think so, because I am still confused over the whole orgone thing and I have been reading a number of papers and article about it.

However I fill focus on orgone energy at a later time and get back to the cloudbuster and how it worked in harness the power of orgone energy. It was one of the most simplest of machine next to the divining rob to find water under the earth. The cloubuster machine was simply constructed of a few hollow metal tubes fixed together in a row and had hoses running from the end of each pipe into water. It could be a pond, lake or even a barrel/bucket of water, but it just had to be in water. The water was considered to act like an orgone magnet and would draw the energy out of the clouds. This in turn would also be able to create rain, which would save all that time in seeding clouds and creating even more conspiracy theories about what they are putting into those clouds to make it rain.

Below I have included a picture of what one of these cloudbusters looked like. It almost looks like some sort of a demented pipe organ pointed at the sky.

Cloudbuster Machine
Cloudbuster Machine

Did it really make clouds explode in the sky or make them shrivel up to nothing? From my research I have found no account of what it really looked like when in operation.

Am I saying that this is a far fetched idea…yes I am. I am saying the whole aspect of orgone energy and the assumption it is the form of universal life is a far fetched idea. Now on some farms and you can even see this on a Dirty Jobs episode of a peach farm where they use air cannons in order to control the environment (ie clouds) and I have come to find out they use this on other farms as well. There is some science to the aspect of using air cannons in order to control the weather and the aspect of cloud seeding has been going on for years. However this machine really did nothing but point at the clouds with tubes and hoses running into the water.

While he may have been in fact a brilliant man and a out side the box thinker, I would classify this as a machine with no real purpose. If you want to, you can create the whole thing yourself from supplies you can find at Lowes or Home depot for less than $100, I know because I have looked. So if you feel bored then build one yourself and try busting some clouds.

Be safe and watch out for those pesky clouds,

Ghost Equipment…Adapt, Improvise & Overcome

Adapt, Improvise & Overcome is a motto generally assigned to the United States Marine Corp and they are by far the best at living up to this motto. They have accepted this motto because they generally aren’t given the funding as the other three braches and seem to get the hand-me-downs of weaponry and technology yet they use it better than the original armed force it was intended for. They are the masters of adaptation, improvisation and the ability to overcome any and all that is placed in front of them. Now by no means am I about to put Ghost Hunting and the outstanding US Marine corps in the same category, but I merely wanted you to know the origin and reason behind such a motto. Now onto why I used it to discuss Ghost Hunting and the equipment they (we) use for paranormal investigations.

In the realm of Ghost Hunting there is no equipment truly designed to catching, finding or discovering ghostly apparitions. All equipment is based off of loose understanding of what a paranormal entity is supposed to be. We use such equipment as K2, EMF, Digital Recorder or even FLIR Cameras to help us find those which we consider to create paranormal events. My question is why and how did we get to this point? I have talked with many a ghost hunter and have even e-mail some of the more popular TV shows about getting answers to some of the most basic of questions. The responses to these questions however are always the same or no response back from the e-mails. The responses are that this is how it is yet when I ask for more in depth to see if they know the reasoning why it’s because they have bought into the TV shows and their methodology.

I have been and continue to do research into the paranormal and find out answers to the basic of questions that nobody really knows why. I will try experiments to prove or disprove something…that’s what science is all about. Do ghosts really emit energy and draw energy out of the air to manifest? Why do ghost that appear as warm on a FLIR always leave cold spots which should register as dark colors? How do we know that digital recorders are truly reliable in capturing EVP when it could be something else? How do we conclude something is paranormal when it could be a simple environmental anomaly? These are the questions that I have no found a good answer on from anyone including those on the TV shows that I have had the privilege of talking with.

Now I am by no means a saint in this category as I have a number of pelican cases full of different types of equipment for experiments. I have bought some that was said to be built just for ghost hunting, but really is it? We are taking everyday equipment used for logical purposes and attempting to use it for something nobody understands. The paranormal can be a science as long as people treat it as such, don’t be so willing to give into the modern trend of what TV shows tell you. If you have a doubt, then experiment it until there is nothing left, but true evidence. Think outside of the box and research because it may be something very simple that you’re missing.

Be safe and try coloring outside the lines for once,

The “Darkness”

I’m sure you’re asking at this point what is the “Darkness”? Well simply put it is what I call collectively a mood (depression, fear, sadness, anxiety, etc.) that comes with no warning and with no seemingly outside influences, as in like losing a loved one or being dumped.  I belief the “Darkness” is really caused by either a demon, spirit(s), picking up on another’s emotional state (maybe they are projecting subconsciously)  or a other worldly entity. Sometimes they may want to convey their own feelings or something about their death or possibly because they just want you to feel that way. Hey, No one said all spirits/entities like people are all good… But that is life I guess.

And now that you know what the “Darkness” is, I’m sure you’re asking ‘ok, why do I believe that?’ Good question. I myself have had my bouts of dark periods, some because of life issues like relationships lost loved ones, etc.   But I feel there is a difference between the “Darkness” and dark periods of life.  I believe the dark periods help open a door in our lives for the “Darkness” to come in and take hold in some cases with disastrous results. Think about this for a moment, you are at  your lowest point in life and something that feeds or uses negative energy (Feelings or emotions) as power, will feed off that and in most cases unless the cord is cut will continue to feed, until there is nothing left to feed off of, an energy vampire if you will.

So how do I separate the two, dark periods & the “Darkness”? I reflect on my inner self and the life I’m leading.  I suppose for some that would lead to a higher belief in things – God, Spirits, maybe religion in general, but something bigger than just you or me, or maybe nothing at all.  If you can honestly look at your life and see no issues, I mean HONESTLY – NO HOLDING BACK, and then you can easily see that maybe just maybe something, someone is trying to contact you. Tell you something, maybe they need help, maybe they want to help you, sometimes to just use you, but in the end it’s your life take control of it!

This idea isn’t meant to scare or to force a view point, just make you think.  That’s what I am I thinker, as I’ve been reminded of by my dear Chris time and time again. I encourage everyone when they are in a dark period or the “Darkness” to get help, talk to a friend or whomever you’re comfortable with to get help, feed the positive in your life – Leading a positive life, will keep the negatives away more often the not.  The “Darkness” will never go away, but at least we all can work to bring light into it….

Peace,
Cedric
