Paranormal Q&A with Samantha Agan

Samantha AganWho are you?

Samantha Agan, Investigator for DVPRS

Explain your Methodology?

We are researchers  who look to prove and disprove claims of paranormal activity with the use of scientific methods and evidence gathering techniques.  Personally after finding credible evidence in the paranormal, I like to take a psychological approach into helping the spirit move on (if the situation is required) and maintain the clients psychological well-being.

Personal Experiences:

Ever since I was a little girl I have gained many personal experiences. At my grandparents where I grew up, my bedroom was by the stairs on the second floor and I would hear footsteps going up and down the stairs when there was no one awake. Sometimes things would move out of place and my aunt was chocked by some unknown source she believed to be a spirit. Every summer as a child my grandparents would take me to an old farm house that was over 100 years old and supposedly was a Native American campground. One day while taking the dog for a walk, I looked up through the clearing and saw what seemed to be the torso of a Native American standing beside a tree. The moment that I realized what I saw, I was so scared that both me and the dog took off running down the hill falling on everything in our path. Later in life at my father’s home, I have experienced numerous amounts of demonic activity including: voices, shadows, orbs, cold spots from unexplained sources, equipment malfunctions, my animal becoming “possessed”, my father being attacked, objects being moved, and the inability to step foot in his bathroom closet without feeling a sense of intimidation. That is only a few of the many personal experiences I have witnessed.

Hands down, the Stanley Hotel.

Do you think that paranormal shows gives groups like you a bad reputation?

Yes. Even though I find enjoyment from watching the shows, I think that the focus on ratings gets in the way of the viewers representation of the hard work and dedication it takes to investigate the paranormal. Most people when they talk about paranormal investigating, think it is about the fun and/or a hobby, but it takes a serious outlook and maturity to conduct a thorough investigation of the afterlife. One show that I do respect is The Haunted on Animal Planet because of the way that the show represents the effects of the paranormal on an individuals life and how the investigators come to relieve the stress and horror that may be surrounding the home and its family.

Tell us a strange but true fact about your group? Even though we have not known each other for a long time, we seem to have a deep connection that is unexplained by any of us as though we were always meant to be together as a family.
