Ringing Rocks, Upper Black Eddy, PA

A four-acre area with rocks piled up in the middle of the woods where boulders, when struck, emit a sound more musical than the typical rock thud. Legend has it the rocks only ring when struck in the park, compasses do not work, animals stay away from the rocks and will go around the field never through it.

Findings:

Taking home a rock that rings in the park we found it still rings just like at the park. Compasses do work in the field. We saw squirels run through the outer edge of the field, animals would avoid the rocks because they'd be more vulnerable to predators then in the tree line. Nothing paranormal here just a beautiful landscap with gorgeous waterfalls nearby!

Notes:

A very unique place to visit. Only certain types of hammers work to make the distinctive 'ring' noise when striking the rocks.
