Who are you?
My name is Tracy Hultay
Explain your Methodology?
On investigations we use a ghost box for real time spirit communication.. It’s very controversial
as a lot of people think it is just a broken radio. I believe it works after using it over the last few years working with it in different types, styles, and sweep rates receiving valid
answers to questions. My brother Steve does a lot of research
on this and develops his own ghost boxes.
One of my favorite places to go is the Shanley Hotel in Napanoch NY. The place is awesome. We have gotten some great evidence and had some interesting experiences. I absolutely love Gettysburg. The history and the town are just amazing and the paranormal activity is a bonus.
One of my favorite experiences comes from using the ghost box. After my father passed away suddenly in Nov. 2009,
I asked my brother (Steve) if he thought that dad would come through the box since he knew about it and how we used it. I said
to Steve, “If i can get dad to come through in his own voice, I will truly believe that this works” Well after doing session daily
for a couple months and not hearing him, one day it happened. I was finishing a session and I record each one. I said, ” ok dad,
i’m not hearing you, i’ll say goodbye and i’ll try again later”. With that i shut it down and replayed it later on. At the end
when i say that last sentence, I clearly hear my dad in his own voice say ,” Bye Gutch”.. a nickname he always called me. I
immediately called Steve, crying, telling him I did it. Anyone who knew my dad at all admits that it is his voice. That is my best
personal experience. Proves to me that there really is life after death and that we are ok when we pass on.. Which is exactly
what i needed to know and now i look at ghost hunting a little differently as well.. While it’s a lot of fun, there is a real
need for answers for me.
Why did you get into the Paranormal?
I grew up in an old historic house built in 1845. My parents use to hear footsteps, a baby crying in the basement, and the
toilets would flush on their own.. When i was in high school i saw an apparition of a little boy in my room and later that
day, saw him again in the living room. I also saw what appeared to be an old sea captain which i found out later, my mother
also saw, except when she saw him, he was holding a baby and seemed to be looking like he needed help. So i was always interested
after those experiences. I even wrote a term paper on ghosts in school.
Just looking for new equipment and methods of investigating.. Always trying new things. You never know what may work
so i am game to try anything.. I once used a dog whistle before an EVP session to see if maybe the spirits were on that
frequency.. lol hey you never know so always try something new and always be open minded.
Do you think that paranormal shows (radio/TV/Internet) give groups a bad reputation?
Yes and no.. It depends. Most shows now are a dime a dozen.. I believe that because of the shows that are out, we have
new interest into the paranormal which use to never be spoken about.. Now it’s very trendy which makes people more apt to
talk about their own personal experiences. Do some shows ruin it for other teams out there? Some yes.. but again, that is a
matter of opinion too.. Just because we don’t all investigate the same, doesn’t make it wrong or right..
Who is the person in the paranormal field you look up to the most or want to be like?
I am going to get flack for this probably, but i am going to say Zak Bagans and the Ghost Adventures team. I like how they
investigate, the methods they use, the all different types of equipment they are never scared to try out. I love how they
debunk things if possible and not everything is paranormal.
Have you made a page on www.paranormaldictionary.com?
No I haven’t.
Name some Random Facts about you?
I’m a ghost hunting hairdresser.. lol I have an 8 yr. old daughter, I love to read, and I love to help my friends
through their problems. Sometimes i feel like a therapist but if i can help then i am there for them..
Are you a skeptic or a believer?
I am a skeptical believer.
